That moment

I had no idea what was waiting for me in Italy. He said it was just a short work trip, nothing special. We walked through narrow, romantic streets as the sun slowly set and the city took on a magical stillness. We stopped at a small square, surrounded by lights and soft music from a nearby restaurant. In that moment, he looked at me differently than ever before and got down on one knee. The world stopped for a second — and I knew our forever had begun.
